Zach Calo, Psy.D.
Dr. Calo (he/him) is a postdoctoral fellow working under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Senti and Dr. Luma Muhtadie. He received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver and completed his predoctoral internship at Kaiser Permanente, Santa Rosa. He has been trained in a variety of clinical settings, including community mental health centers, private practices, forensic clinics, and health care systems. He has experience working with adolescents and adults across the lifespan who struggle with anxiety, depression, OCD, grief, trauma, relational stressors, life transitions, and more.
Dr. Calo’s approach to therapy emphasizes creating an empathetic and collaborative therapy relationship that is culturally sensitive and adaptive to the unique needs and preferences of each individual. He integrates person-centered and evidenced-based practices – including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), mindfulness, existential therapies, and trauma-informed approaches – to help clients find new ways of navigating life’s struggles and connect deeply to the values and ways of being that make their lives meaningful. Dr. Calo is honored to work alongside his clients and approaches his work with humility, compassion, and authenticity.
