Elise Bisbee, Psy.D.
Dr. Bisbee (she/her/hers) has over 15 years of clinical experience working with clients with a wide range of mental health issues including anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD/trauma, anger management, and sleep-related issues. Her work also focuses on helping clients navigate difficult life transitions such as divorce and remarriage, grief/loss, and parenting/co-parenting.
Dr. Bisbee received her B.A. in psychology from Southern Methodist University. She earned her Psy.D. at the Virginia Consortium Program in Clinical Psychology and completed her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Durham VA Medical Center. She worked for the Veteran’s Health Administration for nearly ten years before moving into the private sector.
Dr. Bisbee’s approach is collaborative and tailored to meet the individual needs of each client while also employing evidence-based strategies to maximize the benefits of therapy (e.g., CBT, attachment theory, exposure, mindfulness). She is passionate about creating an open and safe space for all, including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients.
