Ashley Witt, Ph.D.

Dr. Witt is a licensed psychologist (PSY28531) with expertise in evidence-based treatments for anxiety, OCD, trauma-related disorders, eating disorders, and sleep difficulties. She primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and incorporates elements of other evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Dr. Witt has experience with a number of specific CBT interventions, including Exposure and Response Prevention (EXRP), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).

Dr. Witt completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Drexel University, where her doctoral research focused on understanding factors involved in the maintenance of eating disorders. She also trained at the University of Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, where she focused on CBT for anxiety disorders, OCD, and insomnia. She completed her clinical internship at the Palo Alto VA Health Care System, where she specialized in evidence-based treatments for posttraumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and sleep difficulties. Dr. Witt completed her postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology at the Stanford University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, where she provided CBT and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to individuals and groups and received specialized training in the treatment of eating disorders. 

Dr. Witt’s approach to therapy is collaborative, active, and genuine, and she works with clients to clarify their goals and develop an individualized treatment plan grounded in evidence-based principles. Dr. Witt works primarily with adults.
