Alexis Moore, Psy.D.


Dr. Moore (she/her/hers) is a licensed psychologist (PSY34337) with expertise in individualized, evidence-based therapy for adults and couples. Her therapeutic style is warm and collaborative, with a dedication to providing culturally-inclusive, strengths-based, and person-centered care. Dr. Moore believes meaningful change occurs within a safe therapeutic space, and she aims to help her clients identify their unique challenges, and together, work effectively toward healing and wellness.

Dr. Moore earned her doctorate in clinical psychology at the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium, where her doctoral research focused on understanding the underlying mechanisms of OCD. She completed her doctoral internship at the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center in Philadelphia, where she provided treatment for veterans with problems related to trauma, anxiety (including panic, social anxiety, and generalized anxiety), insomnia, and relationship difficulties. Dr. Moore furthered her specialization in these areas during her postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine. She has speciality training in a variety of treatments including: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety disorders, exposure and response prevention (ExRP) for OCD, and trauma therapies such as cognitive processing therapy (CPT), prolonged exposure (PE), and written exposure therapy (WET). She also has expertise working with couples, offering integrative behavioral couple therapy (IBCT). Dr. Moore offers therapy through telemedicine and in person at the San Francisco office.
